Vinod Nigam, Ph D vinod@bisr.res.in

Dr Vinod Nigam completed M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Allahabad University and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. His Ph.D. work was on antibiotic cephalosporin-C. Prior to joining BISR he was with an industry for two years where he was mostly involved with the production and downstream processing of penicillins. His fermentation expertise has been utilized for technology transfer of xanthan production at the pilot scale . He is currently involved in screening and characterization of alkaline proteases, lignin peroxidases and cephalosporin C biosynthesis.
